Anyone have this problem. I tried to use FLIP version 3.4.7 and Java 1.8.0_51 32 bit on an Xproto V1.8
FLIP kept giving an out of bounds error array when I selected flash as the directions stated below. Latest pdf.
4) Make sure the FLASH buffer is selected and check:? ERASE, BLANK CHECK, PROGRAM, VERIFY.
At that point I tried reinstalling FLIP the USB drivers getting the xproto hex and eep files again.
I do know Xproto hex and eep is different from the Xmini.
I finally gave up and started a Linux VM Centos 6.7. Extracted, configured, built and installed?AVRDUDE.
K1 key and plugged in the Xproto - ran the two avrdude commands for the hex and eep files and presto I am at ver 2.40.
I am not sure why FLIP did not work and I hope I gave you enough info to possibly troubleshoot.
I did not have the time as I needed the Xproto to work now. So I added what I did to circumvent the issue.
My next stop was going to use the AVR Dragon if AVRDUDE did not work. Hope this helps someone and maybe helps fix a problem. I also wish I would have saved the Java error messages.
