Hi I know this is sort of answered in the FAQ for the xprotolab mega but Id like some clarification if possible.
From what I have read the scope is not 5v tolerant and I'm looking to get one for a z80 build I'm starting.
I believe that I can use something similar to a?74LVC245 logic level shifter to take the 5v level of the z80 address bus down to the acceptable 3v3.
... But I'm wondering if the 74 will effect the high impedance of the scope and ultimately the IC operation?

You can take a look on how I implemented this by looking at the Xprotolab Portable schematics.
Alternatevely, you can also use 3k ohm resistors in series with the logic pins.

Thanks for the quick reply, I assume the 820k resistors before the logic shifter ensure high impedance?/\r\n//\r\n/Thanks/\r\n//\r\n/Ashley

The 820k ohm resistors ensure that the inputs on the logic converter are not floating when there is nothing attached to them.
