I can't upgrade my Xprotolab Plain using FLIP.
The instructions say to hold down the K1 button then plug in the USB cable. The Plain doesn't have any buttons. So I looked on the schematic and found K1 connects to PA4. So I used a jumper wire and grounded PA4 and plugged in the USB cable. It might have worked, the red LED was on then the yellow LED blinked.
So I tried to follow the FLIP instructions for installing the USB driver, but it shows up in Device Manager as XScope still. Should it show up as something else, as an Unknown Device, so I can right-click and install the driver?
This is as far as I made it. Anything else I should know?

The Xprotolab Plain does not have a firmware upgrade yet. But to make it enter bootloader mode, you need to short to ground pin 6 of J8 (the external interface port). Yes, this needs to be added to the manual, it will be on the manual when an update is available.

When I plug in my Xprotolab Plain it tells me to update firmware. I'm on 2.26. It tells me the latest is 2.37. There's an "Upgrade Firmware" button but it's greyed out. Disconnect all inputs.
You need to connect pins 1 and 6 when you plug in the USB cable, after this, you can remove the connection.
After the firmware update is ready, the device will enter calibration, you will see the green LED blink in a specific way, when it is done, the device will enter normal operation, the LED will blink different.

after short pin 6 to 1, then what? it will autoupdate? why not all steps? on the main page of any osc device need instruction how to update, pdf etc etc. is more simple if is there VS search the whole forum for 1 tipe of osc
