I am able to compile a c program for the atxmega32a4u under Linux
but am unable to download to the Xminilab via usb.
?
I _am_ able to download the code via FLIP under Windows, and the code works.
I have tried both avrdude and dfu-programmer. Both programs see the device
and are able to erase it, but when I attempt transfer the .hex file, both
programs hang.
Anyone successful with a Linux usb download??
?

I got a report from another user saying that programming on Linux didn't work, but he tried FLIP in Windows and it worked ok. You might be able to find more information at the AVRFreaks forums.

This worked for me:/\r\n/avrdude -c jtag2pdi -p x32a4u -U flash:w:Xprotolab-Plain.hex:i /\r\n/avrdude -c jtag2pdi -p x32a4u -U eeprom:w:Xprotolab-Plain.eep:i/\r\n//\r\n/This is with an Atmel JTAGICE mkII in PDI mode, USB./\r\n/This is done from the xprotolab-plain-hex folder/\r\n//\r\n/Just edit and remove the "-Plain"/\r\n/No need for flip
